the Roberta I. Myers Language Resource Center provides the students
with access to cassette tapes, video tapes, DVDs and satellite
programs. In addition, Macintosh and IBM-compatible computers
offer programs tailored to meet the needs of specific classes.
The Japanese program also provides extracurricular
activities. The weekly language table offers an opportunity
for having conversations with native speakers of Japanese and
with fellow students in the Japanese program. Field trips to
a Japanese shopping center and restaurants in the greater Chicago
area and informal gatherings are important components of our
program.
