At NCC, I studied International Relations with a minor in Japanese. After graduation, I worked for the United Nations Association of the USA (UNA-USA), first in Washington, DC, and then in New York City.

I then worked for the United Nations for two years as an Advisor to the Executive Director. While there, I travelled extensively (over 30 countries), and worked on things like landmines, refugee assistance programs, peace-building initiatives, and micro-economic development.

I am currently working as the Special Assistant to the Senior Vice President for Public Relations and Communications at U.S. Trust, a wealth management firm in New York. My portfolio includes speechwriting for the President and CEO, executive communications, and marketing.

I am also currently a graduate student at the School for International and Public Affairs (SIPA) at Columbia University. I expect to graduate within the year with a Master's Degree in International Affairs.

I have lived in New York for four years, and was at work during the terrorist attacks on Sept. 11. My office is in Times Square, and we went to the roof and watched the WTC collapse.

My wife, who is Japanese, is working at the UN and doing her PhD, and when we both graduate next year we plan to move to Asia (either Singapore or Thailand) or else back to Washington, DC.
